Scott joined the Cummins group in Fall 2016 after completing his B.S.
in Chemistry at UCLA. There he worked with Prof. Paula Diaconescu
designing redox switchable catalysts for the hydrofunctionalization
of olefins. In the Cummins group, he works on the generation of
reactive molecular precursors from an anthracene framework with
concomitant release of dinitrogen.
